Major Overview

This major offers an integrated curriculum that covers three key areas: Content Writing, Content Planning, and Cultural Knowledge. In Content Writing, students develop creative thinking and cultural expression within a framework of digital literacy, enhancing their ability to produce content for various digital platforms. Content Planning focuses on strengthening students’ ability to design digital experiential content, preparing them for the demands of the 4th Industrial Revolution by teaching them to understand digital trends and develop versatile creative skills. Cultural Knowledge emphasizes interdisciplinary expertise across technology, humanities, and social sciences, equipping students with a blend of technological understanding and innovative thinking. A strong emphasis on digital literacy hones students’ technical ability to handle diverse media formats, a skill essential in today’s digital era.

Graduates of the Culture and Media major are well-prepared to launch and operate businesses across a wide range of digital platforms, including social media, blogs, personal media, mobile content, VR, and AR. They are also equipped to apply their skills as specialists in cultural content planning and production, contributing to cultural exchange initiatives within government agencies and international organizations. Additionally, they are qualified to work as experts in cultural arts content strategy and in the distribution of Hallyu content.
