Outline of Major

The Culture and Media major is dedicated to researching and educating media cultural expression skills and the requisite knowledge for planning and producing cultural contents. The major focuses on the interdisciplinary cultural expression skills required in the digital age and offers curricula in digital literacy, visual literacy, storytelling and visual storytelling, cultural content trends, visual research, interactive media operation skills, content writing, and AI video directing and production. To enhance students’ theoretical understanding and practical skills, we offer complimentary rental support for Adobe apps, drones, action cams, and solo media equipment. This initiative aims to facilitate students in acquiring the cultural knowledge and expression skills essential for cultural creation through media, ultimately striving to nurture talents for the creative industry in the era of artificial intelligence.

The content writing curriculum for Cultural Media students aims to develop various digital platform content skills by cultivating creative thinking and cultural expression skills based on digital literacy learning. The content planning curriculum aims to foster talents to plan and design new digital experience content in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. The cultural knowledge curriculum is a professional liberal arts curriculum focused on teaching convergent knowledge in the humanities and social fields based on understanding and utilizing technology and content planning.

Career Paths After Graduation

Graduates of the Culture and Media major can start a business or operate businesses across a spectrum of digital platforms, including social media, blogs, one-persona media, mobile content, VR, AR, and beyond. Furthermore, they are poised to contribute their expertise as specialists in cultural content planning and production, as well as in cultural exchange, within governmental agencies or international organizations and to work as experts in cultural arts content planning and the distribution of Hallyu content. Additionally, they have the opportunity to deepen their academic research and expertise through graduate programs in converging fields.
